Ananse Wahala

Ananse Wahala is the musical brainchild of Ayotheartist (Nigeria) and Dj Kojo (Ghana)
Ananse ntentan, meaning ‘spider’s web’, is a significant Adinkra symbol that represents wisdom, creativity and life’s complexities in Ghanian folklore. Wahala is a West African Pidgin English slang spoken amongst most Nigerians. It means „trouble“ or unrest. Ghana and Nigeria are two countries with a long history of mutual understanding and friendly rivalry.

Renown producer and percussionist Ayotheartist will accompany award winning DJ Kojo on the E-percussion as they forge a sonic alliance and showcase African polyrhythms that span across the globe to reach the dancefloor of Europe’s club culture.
