"Sounds from the East" is a compelling musical journey led by Emma Robatjazy, a Persian singer/songwriter who overcame gender-related challenges in her native Iran to passionately pursue her musical dreams.

Having relocated to Vienna in 2020, Emma founded the project in 2021, assembling a dynamic team featuring pianist Erik Asatrian and bassist Nina Feldgrill.

Through this collaboration, they craft a unique blend of eastern Folk-inspired songwriting, weaving tales of empathy, self-love, inner freedom, and interconnectedness with the world.

Together, Emma, Erik, and Nina create an immersive soundscape, intertwining improvised melodies with heartfelt stories, resonating with audiences on a profound level.

"Sounds from the East" is more than music; it's a celebration of strength, unity, and the universal language of sound.
